News (8/1/09)

A couple of things to say in a post real quick...

1. Since I haven't uploaded anything to DeviantART since at least April, I have to verify my account. So I had the e-mail sent to my address but the link doesn't work. I can't upload pictures, check my messages or update my profile until I verify my address. You can see my dilemma.
I have solved it by creating yet ANOTHER DeviantART account (hopefully the last, or I won't use DeviantART again). You can find it here. (Unforunately, all the pictures that I'm about to upload have my old watermark on it... haha.)

2. I am still using Flickr; I just haven't uploaded anything in a while. I will upload all the pictures I missed. You can find a link to my Flickr (and the new DeviantART) in the sidebar.

3. I got a new camera for my birthday, although I couldn't tell you which model it is since it isn't next to me, but I can tell you that it is a Sony model. (I'll find out and tell you later.) Since I have my own camera again, be expecting more pictures to show up on the blog, DeviantART and Flickr. :)

NEW POST! + more

So... apparently I've become the photography expert in this house. Common questions recieved usually follow this context:

"What setting should I have this on?"

usually followed by:

"You just fix it."

:)

And because of this, I've come to realize that I miss my camera a LOT. (For those of you who don't know, it broke way back in November (the screen won't work properly), and I haven't really done anything about it) The other day I managed to get mom's camera and take pictures of the cake pops she made and today I took Kelli's and took some nature (na-cha, for Kelli) pictures. I edited the ones from Kelli's camera and they turned out pretty nicely, so I'll put them in another post.

Here's what I've decided.

Any time I could possibly manage to get a camera away from someone, I will use it to my advantage. Because I really miss doing this.

I'm going to make a new post with the pictures (there's 7) :)

Updates + Rainbow

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here... almost a month and a half.

I have had some free time recently, so I've been spending my time editing some pictures from April, May and June, so if I ever get extremely bored, I'll upload them here. I think I've edited around 10-20 pictures, so it will probably only happen if I get really, really, REALLY bored.

Anyway, today it was raining all day and around 7:00 tonight there were three rainbows outside. There was one really faint one that didn't show up in any of the pictures I took, and then there was a double rainbow. I took a few pictures of them, and a few of the sky since it looked pretty nice.

So this weekend, it's off to North Carolina for a competition. Personally, I think that the band show has come along really well, but there is a lot we could improve on- myself included. I'm bringing my camera (that is, if we can get any batteries before then), so it should be fun. :]
